Some databases (older systems) have "meta data" and formatting issues that are cleared up when opened and saved in Excel.

- It is usually easier to Split Up Donation Cycles into their Own Imports
(YEAR Primary, YEAR General, etc.) - Each Donation Line Item must have a Date & an Amount
- Each Donation Line Item can be attributed to its own Donation Account
- You can Import Two Donation Line Items per Contact - Donation 1 & Donation 2

In Mac Numbers:
• Menu > File > Export To > Excel
Download Google Worksheets as Excel
In Google Worksheets:
• File > Download > Microsoft Excel > Excel File
Parsing Worksheets
Select desired worksheet/ tab
Select All
Copy
Paste into New Excel file
Delete unwanted Tabs
Save New File
*Use the original File Name appended with the Source Tab Name like: "Prospect List - 500+ Tab.xlsx" *
Format your Spreadsheet
Click Edit
Select All
Click Edit
Scroll Clear All Formatting

Donations & Cum Totals
Required:
Client / Entity created in iDONATEpro before file Upload
Donation Accounts created in iDONATEpro (Primary/General/Year/Default)
Donation Amount (This can be a Cumulative Total)
Donation Date (This can be a blanket default date)*Cum Totals per Contact, Client/Entity and Donation Account are automatically calculated from Donation Line Items*
Donation Accounts
Spreadsheets can have multiple Donation Accounts / Cycles
Import each Donation Account / Cycle separately or separate the columns
Import two Donation Line Items per import record
Each needs to have their own columns and headers for Amount, Date, etc
Sort your Spreadsheet to easily separate Donation Account Columns
*Each Donation needs a Date. A Default Date will be assigned if not included*
Names and Addresses need their own columns
Each column needs to have it's data clean and separated into the following columns:

Events - Do you have Event Attendee and Donations?
Import directly into Events creating Contacts, Attendees and Donations
Make sure that the Event is created in iDONATEpro first and linked to the same Client
Choose the Event from the header when lining up Columns.
