2 Types of Email Unsubscribes
1) Per "Campaign" (Domain) the Email was sent From
(If a recipient Unsubscribes "Per Campaign" from "Campaign A" they are not Unsubscribed from "Campaign B")
2) "Globally" = All Campaigns in your Account
- Unsubscribe From This List: Campaign-Specific Unsubscribe
- Manage Email Preferences: Global Unsubscribe options
Unsubscribe Buttons added to the Bottom of Sent Emails
"Unsubscribe From This List | Manage Email Preferences"
- When an Email Recipient clicks "Manage Email Preferences" they can choose "Unsubscribe from All" which is a "Global Unsubscribe" for All Campaigns.
- Some Email Applications like Mac Mail (iPhone) add a button at the top of the Email allowing for Email Recipients to "Global Unsubscribe"
- Remove Unsubscribe buttons: Accounts with "Dedicated IP Address" are enabled to remove Unsubscribe so long as compliance with CAN SPAM Act
View, Add or Remove Unsubscribes
- Communications > Deliverability > Unsubscribe
- Contact Details > Communications Tab
- Campaign > Email Unsubscribe Tab
Small Icons in Groups, Recent Contacts, etc.
You can see if a Contact has "Unsubscribed" or has a "Bad Email" so you can see what Emails need to be Updated, Won't be Sent to, etc.
Remove Unsubscribes
If a Donor has "Unsubscribed" from Campaign Specific or Any (Global) Email you can "Remove the Unsubscribe" so that the Email Recipient will be sent Emails again.
Add Unsubscribes
If a Donor/Contact doesn't want to get Emails you can "Add Email Addresses" so that Email won't get Campaign Specific or Any (Global) Unsubscribes.
